We’re a small pub with a big team at The Crown,  day‑to‑day operations are overseen by Anne and Simon, supported by a great team of staff who help keep everything running smoothly. Together they manage the full rhythm of pub life — events, hiring and training staff, overseeing operations, and making sure every visitor receives a warm welcome. Their hard work, commitment and care are at the heart of what makes the pub such a valued part of the community. In the kitchen, we have our brilliant chef, Frances! Frances is a master of classic pub food, from her famous Scotch Egg to her Ploughman’s Platter she is always thinking up new dishes for our locals.

Finally, the pub thrives thanks to an incredible team of volunteers who give their time, energy and enthusiasm to whatever needs doing. From the friendly faces behind the bar and the green‑fingered gardeners who keep our outdoor spaces beautiful, to the skilled helpers tackling repairs, maintenance and all the unseen jobs that make a huge difference — their dedication is the backbone of our community.
