One of the UK’s most respected blues-rock outfits, the band has been touring constantly since forming back in 1986, built around the enduring partnership of Val Cowell on lead vocals and rhythm guitar and Richard Hayes on lead and slide guitar. Over the decades they’ve played the legendary Marquee Club more times than most bands dream of, picked up airplay on Radio 2, and released a string of well-received studio and live albums.
Val’s voice has drawn comparisons to Bonnie Raitt and Janis Joplin, and the band’s sets mix punchy original songs with inventive covers spanning Tom Petty, Rory Gallagher and beyond — all delivered with the gutsy, good-time energy that’s kept audiences coming back for nearly four decades.
